How to get to Wrocław

Please note the other names used for Wrocław – Breslau (German) and Breslavia (Italian).

Travel by plane

It is recommended to travel to Wrocław by plane.
Wrocław Nicolaus Copernicus Airport (WRO) (https://airport.wroclaw.pl/) is located in the south of the city, about 30 minutes by car/taxi to the conference venue.
There are direct flights from several European cities, and connected flights by LOT, Lufthansa, KLM, Swiss, Finnair, Ryanair, and WIZZ.
It is also possible to fly to other Polish airports, such as Warsaw, Poznań, Katowice, and Kraków, and then travel by plane/train.

Travel by train

There are direct trains to Wrocław from most of the cities in Poland as well as some international trains (Berlin, Wien, Prague).

Travel by bus

There are direct buses to/from Wroclaw by Flixbus (https://www.flixbus.pl) to many countries.

Travel by car

Wrocław is well connected by highways (A8, A4) and high-speed roads (S8) with travel by car below 4 h to Warsaw, Berlin, Prague, below 6 h to Bratislava, Vienna, and 7 h to Budapest.

How to get to the conference venue?

Public transportation

For Wrocław (and other Polish cities) public transport, we recommend the app Jakdojade (https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.citynav.jakdojade.pl.android).
You can buy the ticket on the app or buy the ticket on board by credit/debit card (the ticket is encoded in the card).

From the airport

Bus 106 (every 15 minutes) connects the airport and the main railway station (“dworzec” in Polish) Wrocław Główny, with a total cost below 10 PLN (2 EUR).

From the train/bus station

The main railway station is Wrocław Główny (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wrocław_Główny_railway_station), while buses Flixbus arrive at the main bus station, which is located in the next building (Wroclavia mall, https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wroclavia).
Trams (numbers 4 and 2, destination “Biskupin”) and buses (numbers 145 and 146) reach the conference centre from these locations in about 20 minutes.

By car

The taxi/uber drive from the airport to the conference venue takes about 30 min (depending on the traffic), with an estimated cost of 50-100 PLN (10-20 EUR).
